This year we were given some free tickets to the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show which I was really excited about. I’ve tried photographing flowers every now and then, but they weren’t anything special, just random weeds in the garden, so photographing some really nice flowers sounded like a good way to branch out. A lot of photographers seem to find their niche and only shoot that subject, which is a great way to hone your skills, but I find that by photographing a broad range of subjects it keeps me on my toes. Funnily enough I took over 400 photos of flowers and my favorite of the day ended up being this fashion shot of Violet Lebeaux.
